Director Procurement, @ Procurement and Supply Chain Management, SA Health
Quinton is responsible for the overall strategic procurement program of the South Australian Department for Health and Ageing (SA Health), including its five Local Health networks, SA Ambulance Service and Statewide Clinical Support Services. He leads the procurement category management system, with an annual spend on both goods and services worth approximately $1.5 billion.
Within this function he also oversees the strategic contract management and supplier management of a total contract value of $3 billion ($450 million per annum) across SA Health and SA Government contracts related to SA Health.
Prior to this role he was serving as the Director Strategic Development for SA Statewide Clinical services and the Director Commercial Contracts and Proposals Management for SA Pathology. On occasion he was also the Acting Executive Director for SA Pathology.
Prior to joining SA Pathology, Quinton was a practicing commercial lawyer with extensive experience in defence and international inter-governmental/multi-national relationships and commercial transactions.
Quinton is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) having completed it’s Company Directors Course, and is an Advisory Board member of the ANZ International Association of Commercial and Contracts Managers (IACCM).
